Discover and explore how Himalayan Singing Bowls are used for sound & vibrational healing. This course is overseen and licensed by the Atma Buti School in Boulder, Colorado and introduces attendees to the history and lineage of the sacred Singing Bowls and how they’re made. Students learn about the different singing bowls available, techniques for rubbing, striking and playing bowls and tingshaws as well as eight different ancient protocols to enhance & deepen your healing & meditation practice.

Designed with physicians, mental health professionals, healers, massage therapists, chiropractors & sound therapists in mind. Open to beginners as well. This course fulfills 15 CEU credits for continuing education purposes, please contact your learning institution.

Due to the nature of the material, class size in Manhattan is currently limited to 4. Group & private instruction available at Kathy’s singing bowl studio or your location upon request, see below for contact information to arrange a singing bowl certification course at your location.

PLEASE NOTE: Prepayment of course exchange is required before the start of series. Please visit the “Payments” page to submit registration and payment. Any missed classes require make up sessions (for an additional fee of $450.00 per session) to complete certification.

About Donna Karan’s Urban Zen

In a world of constant overwork and over stimulus, it is imperative to find a sanctuary. This groundbreaking class is open to anyone who needs a little TLC! It offers premiere restorative yoga sequences plus aromatherapy, reiki, breath awareness, and meditation. No yoga experience is necessary. Please come in comfortable clothing and we’ll take care of the rest.

Complimenting Urban Zen will be the soothing, healing vibrations of Kathy’s singing bowls. Gillian and Kathy met and collaborated at Soul Camp East. The bowls will be placed on the body throughout the entire class during restorative yoga poses to heal align, heal and move energy gently and with love & consciousness throughout the body.

About Gillian Cilibrasi

Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 10.57.54 PMGillian Cilibrasi is Program Director for Donna Karan’s Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy Program, an advanced teaching program focused on integrating complementary healing modalities into mainstream medical care at institutions such as Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC and UCLA Health Systems in LA. Gillian is also a practicing UZIT herself, graduating from the inaugural 2009 class.

As a wellness practitioner, Ms. Cilibrasi maintains a private practice in Woodstock, NY and NYC focusing on reducing stress and enhancing healing in both preventive and acute scenarios. She assists clients with a range of services from stress reduction to patient navigation. As a graduate of the Swedish Institute in NYC, Gillian has maintained a bodywork practice for more than 15 years. With more than 1500 hours of training under the world-renowned yoga teachers, Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman, she is an experienced yoga teacher who both teaches and trains other teachers in the yoga community. Additional teaching influences include Judith Lasater, Jillian Pransky, and the Jivamukti tradition.
